John Fuxell, an Englishman, was the brother in law of William Lydall [SSNE 6557] who had established and built an ironworks in Akershus region of Norway at a place which the Dutchman Hugo Bedow had previously held. In 1579 the royal authorisation for the ironworks was extended for a total of 20 years, which included permission for Fuxell, Lydall and his descendants to construct additional ironworks in Akershus.
