GLADTSTEN, CARL [SSNE 6408]
Text source
Carl (Herbert) Gladsten was horseman, a corporal and quartermaster in Skåne in the 1670s. He remained a corporal for 2 years and then a common soldier for 4 years in lieutenant general von Buchwald's regiment in Wismar. In 1690 he became an ensign. It is unclear whether he was related to Herbert Gladstone [SSNE 2490] and if he was a brother of Johan Anders Gladstone [SSNE 4783].
