Edward Kennoway was a Scot who lived in Danzig and Konigsberg. On 16 July 1671 (f.1)he wrote to his brother noting that he had received the latter's first letter in Danzig in 1669. John Purdie had been with Kennoway in Danzig but had returned to Scotland sometime before the end of 1671. The letter also mentioned David Maxwell who had met with Purdie and was now in Danzig and also Kennoway's other brother James.
