MICHAEL?, MICHAEL? [SSNE 6287]

In October 1623, an Irishman called Michael (it not known if this is his first or last name) called into the Swedish agent in Denmark, Anders Svensson, while en-route to the King of Poland. He brought brought news to Svensson that James VI had said that Patrick Stewart [SSNE 529] could hire as many men and ships as he needed for his Polish levy, was preparing to transport them, and that they were already preparing a rendezvous in the north of Scotland.
