Agneta Gibson, a Scot, was a resident of the town of Nya Lödöse in Western Sweden. She was married to a fellow Scot, James Reid [SSNE 6252]. She died in June 1579 at the age of 34 and her grave monument in preserved in Göteborgs Stadsmuseum. The stone was found in 1870 serving as a door lentil in Hospitalkyrkan in Gothenburg. The inscription translates as "Here lies Agneta Gipson wife of Jacobi Read d.15 June 1579. Gods words remain eternal, my hope is in Christ"
