Hans Gahn junior was described as 'Scotus' when he became a burgess of Falun in 1649. He had worked in Stockholm by a merchant of the same name and they were probably related to each other. There is no connection between this family and that of the Cahun, Colquhoun or Cavun till Canonheielm
