John Innes left Scotland as a religious refugee in 1580. He settled in Emden in Ostfreisland where he died in the early 1600s. John had a son called Johan who was born in Emden in 1600. He changed his name to Ennes and left for Sweden in the 1630s where he became a merchant in Helsingborg. He died in 1658.B. A.
