William Ross was the royal Postmaster who on 20 October 1703 resigned his privileges to Alexander Ross [SSNE 5446]. He may have been the same as William Ross who was one of the 8 Scottish merchants appointed by King August II to serve the Polish court on 4 October 1697A.F.
