JACOBSEN, DAVID [SSNE 5385]
Text source
David Jacobsen worked as the factor for Sir William Davidson of Curriehill (f.1640-1683), Baronet and Privy Councillor. In particular he looked after and invested in Davidson's sawmills around Trondheim in 1680. After Davidson's death he tried to recoup his investment in the sawmills and four commissioners were appointed to investigate them on 14 Octorber 1686. Jacobsen was given top priority over other claimants who included Scots such as Sir John Paul, Scottish consul in Denmark.
