Johanne Margarethe Jeffes was the daughter of William Willimsen Jeffes who originated in Newcastle, England and Kirsten Gilles who was probably English or Scottish. William moved to Bergen where he became a burgess skipper on 18 July 1687. Johanne Margarethe Jeffes (1683-1710) married twice, firstly to Frantz Mitzel (buried 13 March 1707) and then toHenrich Weinvig. With her first husband she had a daughter Wilmich Christina (born 1707) and with her second husband she had Karen Henrichsdatter (baptised 20 July 1710)
