George Sterlin, retailer from Dundee, took the oath and was admitted a citizen of Cracow, although no date is given. John Mora (SSNE 5143) and John Forbes (SSNE 5096), both citizens and traders of Cracow, ensured that Sterlin would provide his birthbrieve by 11 November, and either marry or obtain land against a penalty of 100 Hungarian florins. On 21 June, probably n 1591, Sterlin presented a birthbrieve dated Dundee 15 March 1591A.F. Steuart, Papers Relating to the Scots in Poland 1576-1793, Edinburgh, 1915, pp.55-6; Lib. Jur. Civ. Crac.
