In 1702 Robert Christie from Edinburgh became a citizen of Cracow on His Royal Majesty's Rescript. He paid 800 florins, 2 stones of gunpowder, 2 guns, and took the oath. Robert Forbes and John Feller, both burgesses and merchants in Cracow stood as security for him. Christie provided a birthbrieve from Aberdeen dated 15 May 1702A.F. Steuart, Papers relating to the Scots in Poland 1576-1793, Edinburgh, 1915, p.43; Cathalogus Civium Cracoviensium primi ordinis ab anno 1639, fo. 112.
