Alexander Hume (1644-1676) was the 2nd son of Sir Patrick Hume, by Christina, daughter of Sir Alexander Hamilton of Innerwick and Ballencreif, kt. [SSNE 380]. Alexander He served as a colonel in the Russian Army and died unmarried in Moscow in 1676
