Henry Frankelin was the son of the Englishman Rowland Frankelin and a Polish princess. Henry travelled across Europe before settling in Sweden where Karl IX appointed him as his chamberlain. He married Constantia, the natural daughter of Erik XIV and Agda Pehrsdotter. Henry was ennobled in 1625 with the name Bocksjo.
