Thomas Anderson was born in Stockholm, the son of a Scottish merchant in Stockholm of the same name [SSNE 7084]. Thomas jr, was born in 1661 and was ennobled and introduced in 1693. Thomas jr. was a student at Uppsala in 1672 and served as an 'auskulant' in Svea main court in 1691. He was also a notary with the execution committee and became a regional governor in Sodertorn in 1693. He later became an assessor in the main court in 1696 and a 'revisions' secretary in 1702. That year he was also a 'ledamot' of the law commission. In 1714 he was state secretary in the trade office.Svenska Adelns Attartavlor, vol. 1; H.
