H. Marryat, One Year in Sweden, including a visit to the isle of Gotland (London, 1862), p.484. Baron John Thersleff was the grandson of John Thersleff who came to Sweden in 1600 and became the dean of Viborg. Thersleff became a baron in 1697 and died in 1719 serving as the governor of Abolan.
