Robert Robertson was a salter from Orkney. He gave up his burgess-ship on 3 May 1683. It is possible he was a relative of Anders Robertson who became a burgess in Bergen in the 1630s. On 16 January 1662, a document was signed by Robert and Anders Robertson who were both noted as burgesses, and it is most probable it was the same two men. On 10 December 1676 Robert Robertson became guardian for Niels Loss's youngest child.
