Hercules Beaton was a son of Paul Beaton [SSNE 1797], and brother of Paul Beaton jr [SSNE 1798]. Their grandfather had been Hercules Beaton [SSNE 4341]. Hercules junior had been born in 1660 and served as a constable in Stettin in 1678. He later became an artilleryman in Stockholm in 1679 and was moved to Jonköping field artillery that same year. He was ennobled with his brother on 22 February 1693 and introduced under nr.1402 in 1706. He died in 1711. He had been married to Elizabeth Bock.
