Thomas Johnston was an ensign in Colonel Donald Mackay's [SSNE 93] regiment of Danish-Norwegian service in 1628. He received his reckoning by 4/10/1628, was to receive a Danish safeconduct presumably to go home, but possibly to go into Swedish service as many others did
