Hugh Mowatt served as solicitor martial general for the Scots in Danish service by 17/5/1628 and was himself in Colonel Donald Mackay's [SSNE 93] regiment. He was still in service by 19 February 1630 although Mackay's regiment had by this time gone into Swedish service. It is possible that this is the same man as the Swedish agent of the same name, but no documented proof of that has come to lightT.
