Thomas Day was an English shipbuilder who arrived from England in 1659. He was employed at Bodekull and built 3 ships, including the 'Saturnus'by 1663, 'Nyckeln', and his last vessel the 157 foot 'Venus' completed in 1669 at Karlshamn shipyard. However Day departed from Swedish service in April 1668. Day must have been at the later stage of life as he was noted as "old" in admiralty records by this point.
