Thomas Marshall was an Englishman who entered Swedish service in May 1677. He became a captain of the company ship 'Flygande Vargen' which served in Admiral Horn's fleet during the war against Denmark-Norway. Marshall was at the battle of Steun Falsterbro 1/7/1677 and was taken prisoner by the Danes. He departed from Swedish service on 17/5/1678. He is also listed in Meritforteckningar (Flottan) as ship's captain 1677-8Biografiska Anteckningar om Officerare vid Orlogsflottan 1600-1699, p.109: A. Zettersten, Svenska Flottans Historia Aren 1635-1680 (Norrtelje, 1903), p.617.
