John Lindsay commanded a company of 500 men in 1628. He was wounded five times in Danish service. Recommended by Christian IV to Charles I for a pardon, like Sir Patrick Cockburn [SSNE 127], who had also been found guilty of sodomy. Confer [SSNE 583]
