Theodore Gordon (1681-1739) was Patrick Gordon's third son. He was a student with the Jesuits in Eastern Prussia, then an ensign in his father's regiment. During the Great Northern War he was promoted to colonel. His son, interpreter at the Admiralty College and Academy of Sciences, sold Patrick's diary to Count Stroganov in 1759.D.
