Andrew Forrat was a colonel in the Russian army. In 1662 he was sent to London with Russian envoy Prince Prozorovsky as his advisor and interpreter. He received testimonials from King Charles II praising his noble lineage and conduct. He also hired 5 Scots officers for the Tsar's service.
