Text source
Eskil Thomson was the son of Thomas Thomson and Catherine Murray. He served as an ensign with Alexander Leslie's Narke och Varmland regiment in 1622. He became a lieutenant in 1626 but was reformed in 1631. Thomson was promoted captain in 1633 and a commander for a company in Wurzburg garrison. He was later a captain of Skaraborg's regiment in 1635 in which capacity he still served when the garrison was stationed in Wismar in 1639. He probably died in February 1643.
