Alexander Leslie was first a captain in James Seaton's Hofregiment in Riga [SSNE 3474] before serving in Melker Wurmbrandt's recruited regiment in the same city. He is probably the same as Captain Alexander Leslie who was in James Ramsay's [SSNE 3315] regiment in 1629 and who served as captain in the Green Regiment in 1632. A Sergeant Major Leslie was captured at Nordlingen in 1634 and it may have been this man.Swedish Krigsarkiv, Muster Roll, 1624/7; 1625/6; 1626/3-6,8,9; 1629/14; 1632/28; The Modern History of the World.
