Robert Hall was a Scotsman in Danish-Norwegian service who commanded the vessels Papegojen and Lindormen. He was listed as a captain in 1659, and chief of the warship Lindormen and Sorte Rytter that year. During the war against Sweden he was ordered to defeat to Swedish ship outside Landskrona, but he only succeeded in arresting 4 Prussian 'koffardi'ships.
