This Arvid Forbes was the great grandson of Henry Forbes of Thainstone. If so he was the son of Peter Forbes and grandson of James Forbes of Thainstone. His mother would have been Margereta Swinhulvud. He died in 1700 with the rank of lieutenant. Arvid had been married to another ethnic Scot, Marta Philp [SSNE 8303] in her second marriage.
