Alexander Forbes was an ensign in Swedish service from 1603-4. This may be the same as Alexander Forbes "hovitsman" of Scots who, along with lieutenant William Strils, accused a Hans Smitt of Hamburg of killing Andrew Buck, another Scot from their company, in December 1604
