There was a C. Mungo who was a Scottish officer serving in the Russian army. He was a lieutenant hired by Alexander Leslie [SSNE 2916] in 1631. He was a colonel by 1650 when he was sent with Colonel Hamilton and 4000 infantry to quell a mutiny at Pskov {Olearius}
