Alexander Trumpat was mentioned as merchant (Scottish) at Elsinore 1574, authorised to settle there 1578 on condition of producing testimonial, paid taxes 1580-5, was to serve in the urban militia 1583 with a sword. Returned to Scotland leaving his family at Elsinore, for some years served James VI, but desired 1592 to return to Denmark to take care of his family and eventually to serve Christian IV. Sent political news to General William Stewart in 1595 expressing his concern lest his cousin Thomas Cok of Perth to whom he had etrusted the collection of his income from estates at Perth, should not respect his property. Stored flax at the weigh-house of Elsinore c.1578; sold his part of a house at Malmo 1587; witnessed Richard Wedderburn's transport to David Wedderbburn of an assignation of 80 old daler 1589.
