Niels Skotte was a fisherman who was admitted burgess of Elsinore on 12/8/1603. He also paid taxes in 1607 but was dead by 29/12/1613 leaving his widow Anne Sorensdatter and their daughter Sitze. The estate comprised two dwellings in one house, a cart and a horse, several swine and fishing tackle. His debts were c.29 daler to pay by the heirs. It is uncertain when either he or his forebears arrived in Denmark
