Charles Dick is listed as a lieutenant colonel in 1645 who recruited infantry in Norway of which 630 were placed in Hannibal Sehested's life regiment, and the remaining 340 elsewhere. Dick is a common Scottish name, but in some sources this officer is also called van Dyck, suggesting he may well be Dutch.J.C.W. Hirsch and K.
