Alexander Glen started as a joiner and paid taxes in the 2nd fjerding in 1628, 3rd fjerding 1637, 4th fjerding 1645 (in that year the household members over 15 were himself, his unnamed wife and their children Andrew and Margaret (Margrete)). Glen served as a m ember of a jury in a trial for manslaughter on 13/10/1628. Taxcollector in 3rd fjerding 1637; guardian for one of John Craig's children 1638. Exported timber to Scotland 4/8/1627, had a claim to James Black's estate for flax. Dead by 14/10/1654 leaving debts 167 daler 3 marksT.
