David Hansen was admitted a burgess in Elsinore in 1603. He paid taxes in 1st fjerding 1607, 1617, 1628. His widow Maren paid taxes in 4th fjerding in 1637. He was probably a merchant and imported English beer and Spanish wine in 1596, sent tallow and apples to Copenhagen 2/10/1628. Member of jury in a witchcraft trial 1626. He was also among the 24 men who elected representatives to the diet of 1627 and was several times among the - generally 24 - representatives of the burgesses outside the council (10/10, 13/10/1627, 3/1/1629). Mentioned in the taxlists of 1607 and 1617 as Wegeor Weiger which could mean that he was in charge of the weighhouse
