In the Sound Toll administration under Alexander Lyall, toldskriver (customs official) by 12/1/1562, councillor 30/8/1566- 10/7/1579 and 16/7/1591 to his death 1597. Warden of the Hospital 6/5/1582, tolder (ie. director in the Sound Toll administration) 28/4/1583 until his death. Authorised 8/8/1571 to send a vessel of 30 lasts with salt duty free to Narva every year; his ship called at Aalborg 1583. Sent goods with skipper Martin Snering who obtained a passport (sobrev) from the council of Malmo 1585. Lent money to William Panton of Malmo who pledged his house as security 3/6/1583. Shared a pew in St Olai with David Lyall. Hansen.'s widow set up an epitaph in St. Olai . Married Karine Hansdatter, dead by 8/11/1589 when the estate (gross assets c.21,305 daler of which 10,050 in real estate) was divided.
