Professor Colin Kidd and Emeritus Professor Rab Houston receive honours from HM the King.
Professor Colin Kidd and Emeritus Professor Rab Houston were at the Palace of Holyroodhouse earlier this month to receive honours from H.M. King Charles III. Professor Kidd was awarded the OBE in the 2023 New Year Honours for services to history, culture and politics while Professor Houston was awarded an MBE for services to higher education. The investiture ceremony took place in the Throne room at the historic Palace of Holyroodhouse, the King's official residence in Scotland. The ceremony was followed by a reception in the grounds of the Palace.
Also mentioned in the King's New Year Honours was Honorary Senior Lecturer, Dr Lorna Walker who received her MBE in St Andrews from the Lord-Lieutenant of Fife on behalf of HM the King.
