The St Andrews Historian 2023
The 2023 edition of the School's magazine, 'The St Andrews Historian', is now available to download. The magazine aims to keep our alumni informed about news and events in the School and also provides an insight into some of the cutting-edge research activities taking place at St Andrews.
In this edition, following on from his recent 'Esparanto Worlds' exhibition at the Wardlaw Museum, Dr Bernhard Struck introduces us to his research on Esparanto, the language invented by the Polish-Jewish doctor, Ludwik L. Zamenhof, in the late 1880s. Dr Victoria Miyandazi of the Institute of Legal and Constitutional History talks about her fascinating career in legal practice and legal research in Kenya and the U.K., including time spent specialising as a human rights lawyer. Professors Colin Kidd and John Hudson reflects on their recent series of lectures at the University of Oxford, while Dr Rory Cox and Dr Konrad Lawson take a break and explore the Fife Pilgrim Way with a journey on foot from Culross Palace to St Andrews Cathedral.
