Help for students to manage anger
Updated on: 13 June 2024
Learn about different forms of anger and methods to manage them.
Anger can arise in various situations, especially when we feel threatened, deceived or vulnerable. It can show as outbursts or periods of withdrawal.
Anger is often seen as a negative emotion, but it can be helpful in identifying problems and motivating change.
It can become a problem when we cannot control our emotions and behave in ways that harm us and others.
Effective anger management has two components:
- how we deal with our own anger
- how we react to anger from someone else
Understanding and effectively managing anger is a crucial aspect of maintaining emotional wellbeing and nurturing healthy relationships.
