Import Cadmus grades into the Module Management System (MMS)

Process for importing grades from Cadmus into MMS.


Setup MMS coursework submission tool

In MMS, in either a new or existing ‘Coursework submission’ tool:

  • Navigate to the ‘Configure’ screen
  • Select ‘Add Assignment’
  • Setup as required ensuring that ‘Style’ is set to ‘Staff Only’
  • Select ‘Save Assignments’.

Cadmus grade export

On the marking screen in Cadmus, select the ellipses button and select to ‘Download grades’.

Prior to importing into MMS, some data needs to be removed from the file.

Hold CTRL and select all columns except ‘Student ID’ and ‘Final grade’. Delete the selected columns.

Then delete the row containing column headings.

Ensure the final grade value aligns with the marking scale configured for the assignment. If conversions are required, please calculate prior to uploading.

In this example, 150 needs to be converted to the 20-point scale giving the student a ‘Final grade’ of 15.

Save and close the file.

Import grades into MMS

In MMS, select ‘Settings’ under the ‘Detailed Settings’ column for the appropriate assignment.

In the upload grades section, select ‘Choose File’.

Select the csv file and then select ‘Upload Grades’. Once uploaded, a verification screen will be displayed.

If everything looks correct, select ‘Submit Grades’.
