Halls Life Coordinator

Josh Gumbley

Welcome to McIntosh! I spent five years in St Andrews reading for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in History and International Relations before leaving to work in the public and charity sectors. I was delighted to return to St Andrews in August 2021 to take on the role of Halls Life Coordinator in Student Services.

I lead a team of three assistant wardens, who all live in hall, and together we are here to provide pastoral care, guidance and support. McIntosh, traditionally also known as Chattan, provides a vibrant community that many students return to in their second, third, and fourth years.

The wardens are here to support you during your time in hall and at the University. We are very much part of the community, so you’ll see us around at mealtimes and social events, as well as when we are on-call out of hours. You should always feel welcome to come and chat with us about anything that’s on your mind, about challenges you are facing, or to let us know about anything you think we might be able to do better for the hall community.
