Updated on: 23 May 2024
Find out what to do after accepting your offer of accommodation, including how to book an arrival slot and whether you can send your luggage before you arrive.
Before you arrive
If you are staying in University accommodation, before you arrive you must log in to your accommodation account and:
- complete the online accommodation induction and quiz
- choose an arrival slot (slots are only required for September arrivals)
- print a key receipt to bring with you on your arrival day.
Students starting a course in:
- September, cannot arrive at their University accommodation before the first Saturday of September.
- January, cannot arrive at their University accommodation before the date on their accommodation contract.
If you arrive earlier, you will need to arrange private accommodation. If you are staying in a University-managed property, email propertyservices@st-andrews.ac.uk to confirm your arrival date and time.
If you have any questions, read the guidance on arriving at your University student accommodation, or visit the accommodation pages for:
Sending luggage before you arrive
You should not send luggage from overseas before you arrive in St Andrews.
The University cannot guarantee secure storage. Your property will not be covered by the University's insurance policy until you are in your accommodation.
If you are planning to send your belongings to the UK, you must:
