Research areas

I am currently working as Research Coordintor (0.8 FTE) and Associate Lecturer (teaching-focused; 0.2 FTE) in the School of Geography and Sustainable Development. In my role as Research Coordinator, I lead the secretariat function alongside Prof. Bill Austin for the United Nations Global Ocean Decade Programme for Blue Carbon (GO-BC). In my education focused lecturing role, I support both Prof. Bill Austin and the wider school in teaching, tutoring, and demonstrating. My research interests are broad, and split between the palaecological investigation of tropical peatland environments, and understanding the climate mitigation potential of blue carbon ecosystems.
