School achieves gender equality award

The School of Geography and Sustainable Development has been recognised with an Athena SWAN Bronze Award for its work to promote gender equality and overcome barriers to career progression.

The award success is thanks to the work of a School self-assessment team comprising staff and student representatives over a period of two years. The School will now begin implementing an ambitious action plan which will lead to further improvements and lay the groundwork for a future Silver Award application.
