Environmental information
Environmental information that the University holds is subject to the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (also referred to as “the EIRs”). A detailed introduction to the EIRs and how these differ slightly from the provisions of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 have been published on the website of the Scottish Information Commissioner's website.
Anyone anywhere in the world is entitled to access the environmental information the University holds. Information is made available either proactively for example through the web pages of the University or in response to a request. Information may be withheld from disclosure and fees charged for the provision of information in certain circumstances.
In some instances a charge may be made for the provision of information and the University's charging policy in this regard is outlined in the EIR Charging Scheme (PDF) .
