New Novel by Lesley Glaister
Lesley Glaister's new novel is set as WW1 finishes and follows the story of Clementine, who has served as a nurse, and Vincent, a sergeant who has suffered horrific burn injuries. Drawn together by their shared experiences at the Front, they embark on a compulsive relationship.
Blasted Things has been described as "a sensitive, unsettling tale of a post-First World War romance" by The Independent, and as a crime novel by The Scotsman that takes "character, setting and story seriously. It has a fine sense of time and place – a good novel for these days of lockdowned confinement."
Lesley will also be hosting a live Twitter launch and Q&A about Blasted Things at 7.30pm on Tuesday 12th May 2020 using the hashtag #BlastedThings.
