Outstanding Early Career Oral Presentation award at the IAVCEI Commission on Tephrochronology meeting

SEES Postdoc, Dr Helen Innes, won the award for Outstanding Early Career Oral Presentation at the 2024 IAVCEI Commission on Tephrochronology meeting for her talk entitled "Recent developments in geochemical analysis of extremely fine-grained cryptotephra and their application to ice core deposits".

The judges said "Great to see such a clearly designed and executed experiment. Excellent text-figure balance, well-paced speech. As a non-expert I enjoyed the extensive overview of methods. Excellent workflow and recommendation slide. No suggested areas for improvement, sorry!"
