Staff talk climate change at Alumni event in London
On 23rd April, members of the ‘Climate, Oceans, and Atmosphere at St Andrews’ (COASt) group travelled to London to present the School’s research to a group of approximately 100 alumni. At the Royal Over-Seas League, Andrea Burke, Mike Byrne, and Graeme MacGilchrist discussed topics ranging from the future of heatwaves, to the role of the oceans in past & future environmental change, to the impacts of volcanoes on both climate and the literary works of Mary Shelley!
There was considerable interest and enthusiasm in the School’s research from alumni of all ages, making for an enjoyable and inspiring evening.”
