Centre for Energy Ethics
Thanks to your support, the Centre for Energy Ethics was officially opened in February 2021 by Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dame Sally Mapstone FRSE. The Centre exists to foster a creative and interdisciplinary research environment, provide in-demand policy guidance and engage with industry and the public.
Bringing together arts, humanities, social and natural sciences, the Centre channels the University’s interdisciplinary strengths in pursuit of the questions what can we do and what should we do to create a better energy future for us all.
The Centre is working with local and national governments to gain an insight into how our energy practices and systems relate to climate change mitigation. A new MSc in Energy Ethics launched for 2023 entry, further strengthening our understanding of global, national and local energy challenges both now and in the future.
